Before I start to give you some tips about hotboxing, it really is important to keep in mind that doing so can be hazardous to your health if you don’t do it right – oxygen deprivation is nothing to laugh about. This being said, hotboxing can be an incredibly fun activity for smokers to try out with their friends, so let’s talk about it:
If you don’t know what hot-boxing is, its an activity that involves smoking cannabis in a small, closed off space – like a car or a garage - so that smoke is able to fill it up. Also, hotboxing is usually a social activity because a true session needs a large amount of smoke to ensure everybody gets high.
The first thing to consider when you’re thinking about throwing a little hotbox party is where you’re going to be doing it. You need to take into account how many people will be there, how much marijuana they’re going to smoke, and whether or not potential locations will provide a decent smoke/air ratio. Also, its important to keep in mind whether or not your comfortable smoking weed in your chosen location – are there fabrics in there? Because if so, the smell will be there for weeks and won’t be easy to get rid of at all. Because of this, bathrooms and garages are a pretty popular location for hotboxing, because of the limited number of things that can attract smoke.
Another thing to think about if you’re planning a hotboxing session is entertainment. Music is always a great go-to, and some remote-controlled lighting doesn’t go amiss either. Also, and it may seem obvious, snacks are always a winner when it comes to hotboxing – so stock up on chips, chocolate, and juice, or maybe even order some takeout while you’re at it.
Always remember to stay safe in your hotboxing endeavors, and never feel pressured to do anything that you don’t want to. Hotboxing can be a lot of fun, but just make sure you’re doing it somewhere you want and are actually allowed to be. As always,
